Select a state, desired city size as measured by total blocks (neighborhoods), desired percent of blocks with target demographic profile (the higher the better), the desired levels of crime and students-per-teacher, and the desired demographic profile. Note that selecting "-- Any --" will display cities with any level of that variable (but since charts display better with smaller numbers of cities, such selections should be used sparingly). After tapping the SEARCH button, matching cities will be displayed in the form of an interactive map, chart and table. With the map, you can tap an icon to see that city's data, switch to satellite and street views, change map position and zoom in and out. The chart Rank Groups range from 1 (meaning the lowest 20th percentile - and therefore best - in comparison to ALL U.S. cities) to 5 (the highest and therefore worst); 3 is middle. Using your mouse or fingers (depending on your device), you can zoom in or out on the chart, as well as tap any legend item to hide/display that chart element. The table shows all values, can focus on any city in the map, and can be sorted in ascending/descending order by tapping any column header. Tap the "Search Again" link on top of the table to set different filters.
